This Quadrangular Castle was built in 1385. First thought to be there to protect from French Invasion, it is now thought that it was purely for show.

Beachy Head has the tallest Chalk cliff in Britain, standing at 530ft above sea level. The site also has the famous lighthouse, which has been protecting ships from the headland since 1831.
